Admission Process

The admission process is based on a student’s overall potential rather than solely test performance. Applications must be submitted through an online application process. After submitting an application, students will take NIIT University Aptitude Test (NUAT) prior to having their first opportunity for a Personal Interaction (PI) with faculty to ensure that individual student aspirations match the program they are applying for. The final decision for admissions will be based on all of the following: academic records; scores from standardized entrance exams (NIIT Institutional Entrance Exams: i.e. GATE, UGC-NET, etc.); and performance from the Personal Interaction with faculty.

Eligibility Criteria

For undergraduate applicants (B.Tech) , candidates must usually obtain a minimum of 55% aggregate in Class 10 and 12, and provide qualifying scores from the JEE Main, BITSAT, SAT or NUAT. Undergraduate (BBA/iMBA) candidates will be selected based on academic merit and are subject to a similar process. For postgraduate and doctoral candidates, they will need to have a degree in the appropriate subject area with qualifying marks, and a qualifying score from one of the national-level entrance exams (i.e. GATE, UGC-NET).

Placements

The Career Development Council provides NIIT University students with a well-structured placement support system that includes professional development from year one, making a strong connection between the classroom and the workplace a key element of their success. The Industry Practice program requires all NIIT University students to complete a six-month project, in partnership with faculty and industry mentors, in which they will complete a real-world project. At graduation, all NIIT University students are guaranteed to have a job available to them, as NIIT University has established relationships with many companies in the technology, consulting, and finance sectors and will secure many diverse roles for their graduates across various industries through their many active industry partners.

Infrastructure

1. Campus & Accommodation

The 100-acre green campus for only residential students has two separate hostels (one for boys and one for girls) with three separate choices – single occupancy, double occupancy and triple occupancy. The way in which the campus remains at the proper temperature with an eco-friendly climate control system is called "Earth-Air Tunnel"(EAT) cooling. Additionally, the entire campus operates on 24/7 wireless internet access, with security provided 24 hours a day, medical help available around the clock and laundry services provided all day long.

2. Academic Facilities

In addition to all the other facilities provided by the school, academic structures use the most up-to-date technology available today (the "smart classroom" concept using the Internet as a source of information), have separate laboratories for the students to use to get hands-on experience with different subjects like Biotechnology, Computer Science and Data Science, and also have a Library and Information Resource Centre (the LIRC) which contains a tremendous amount of global access to eBooks and journals that can be accessed through the Internet. 

3. Sports & Recreation

The students have access to a vast amount of outdoor space to play cricket, football and run track, as well as have access to separate basketball, tennis, and badminton courts. There is also a large gymnasium (fitness), a yoga centre, a recreation area available for playing table tennis or pool. In addition, there are cultural clubs, trail walking and dancing studios.
