Overview

The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree program in Computer Science and Engineering, at Karnavati University located in Gandhinagar, is being developed to provide students with a basis for entering today’s digital and tech-driven workplace. Study areas which are the focus of your education are computer science, programming, data structures, software development and newly developing technology areas like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics. You will acquire a foundational understanding of the principles of computing through practice-oriented experiences that include lecture instruction, laboratory hands-on learning, industry experience, and projects. In addition to learning how to solve problems and communicate professionally while working collaboratively, students participate in well-rounded development activities with the intent to find new ways to develop technologies that promote ethical use of technology, and develop the students' ability to adapt as businesses continue to change to require new skills. The curriculum will provide students with the tools to innovate, have a research-based focus, and use technology ethically, so that students gain skills and knowledge that they can apply to the workplace as current and future business needs evolve. The ultimate goal for this program is to develop graduates who possess the knowledge, skills, competencies, and confidence necessary to gain employment and build a career as software developers, technology consultants, or specialists in advanced computing fields.

Admission Process

The admissions process is merit-based and occurs once per year via the online registration process on the university's web portal followed by entry of documented evidence, entrance scores (e.g. JEE Main/GUJCET - KUAT), and an Interview. The successful Candidates will then need to pay their admission fee and undergo impartial verification in order to formally hold a seat in the undergraduate engineering programs they have selected.

Eligibility Criteria

To be qualified as an applicant for an undergraduate B.Tech programme, you need to have completed your 10 +2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics plus a minimum aggregate (usually 65% for general categories) and have a valid score in any of the national/state level entrance examination(s). The reserved categories have relaxation from these criteria as per the all-India pricing guidelines, but the criteria will differ between the various programs also among categories.

Placements

The static placement framework is Operationalised via the internal Higher Education Sector; design, delivery and implementation are provided by the institute as outlined by the placement agreement for that cohort. All student cohort placements must align with the internal higher education curriculum (Government of South Australia 2019) and be completed within a maximum of (2) years from the original commencement date of the cohort. All students will have the opportunity for further career development opportunity through enrolment onto relevant, recognised industry training, mentoring or volunteer work in a client organisation (such as Blue Sky); however, they will not be eligible to receive a placement or to continue in further studies at the institution without reapplying (while in full-time study).

Infrastructure

1. Campus & Accommodation

All students have their own completely furnished rooms with amenities and safety features at the campus. Boys and girls will have their own hostels (for both). Dining facilities, a large amount of green space, high speed internet connection (Wi-Fi) and safety features will allow for a safe and comfortable living environment for students and to promote interaction between students so they can enjoy being together.  

2. Academic Facilities

The academic infrastructure consists of large, Wi-Fi equipped classrooms, adequate laboratory facilities, a large enough theatre to hold all population of students plus faculty and staff and a fully functional library with resources to support curriculum and research. Technology based teaching areas have been developed to facilitate interactive learning and allow computing resources and collaboration areas that enable students to participate in project based activities and application based learning in all areas of engineering and other related disciplines.

3. Sports & Recreation

The recreation and sports facilities at the Institute are very comprehensive. There are high-quality, maintained playgrounds located outdoors to accommodate sport activities, such as cricket, basketball and volleyball, in addition to open fields for engaging in other fitness activities. All of these facilities promote Holistic Wellness among students by helping to promote regular exercise, team sports and recreation activity and is intended to provide a balanced lifestyle in regard to academic success.
