Admission Process

IIT Patna has designed its admissions process to seek out those students who have demonstrated strong academic ability. Generally, students are admitted to undergraduate programs through national-level standardised university entrance tests, followed by a standardised counselling process. Students must complete all the documentation, undergo verification of their documentation, and go through the procedures set out by the relevant institution to have their admission confirmed, in accordance with the standardised admission process.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for admission at IIT Patna, all candidates must enter with the appropriate academic qualifications and the appropriate results on the entrance examination relevant to their chosen degree programme. Qualification includes successful completion of a recognised school leaving certificate or standardised assessment equivalent to the same along with acceptable results obtained on the entrance tests. Students are strongly encouraged to review their individual degree programme requirements before submitting their application to verify compliance with current admission standards.
