Having emerged from the International College for Girls, the university acquired the status of a deemed university under the UGC act and gained the freedom of designing curriculum that meets the demands of current industrial practices. Admission Process

The admissions process follows a streamlined and merit-based approach, calling for the selection of candidates using a transparent process. An applicant will apply to the university as defined by its application portal and will have their academic records screened through a thorough examination. For some of the university's professional and postgraduate programs, the university will assess candidates' departmental readiness through the use of required entrance tests or interviews.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to gain admission to the university, a candidate must have met certain academic thresholds applicable to the subject area in which he/she is applying. Generally, undergraduate applicants will have completed a Higher Secondary Education program from a recognized board of education and successfully completed all elements required for admission to the university as an undergraduate. In addition, for postgraduate applicants, he/she must hold a bachelor's degree and have achieved a minimum cumulative percentage of 60% in their first year of study in the required subject(s) for their field of study.

This cell is also a bridge between the academic experience and the requirements of Corporations. IIS University provides students with a structured program of Pre-Placement Training including Mock Interviews, Resume Writing Workshops and Personality Development Sessions to prepare students for professional roles once they graduate. 1. Campus & Accommodation

The institute has a safe and Wi-Fi enabled campus consisting of three air-cooled hostels namely Aanchal, Vasundhara, and IIS Hostel. The hostels comprise of rooms for two-three residents with modern facilities and power backups as well as solar water heating systems. Healthy food, particularly vegetarian food is provided along with disciplined and homely atmosphere with the focus on safety and study purposes.

2. Academic Facilities

The institute has 96 classrooms and 41 labs specifically designed for the disciplines of sciences, arts, and research work. There is a centrally air-cooled, ICT-enabled library with more than 80,000 volumes of books and journals as well as audio visual resources. Some unique infrastructures at the university comprise of the professional media centre comprising of a video production room and community FM 7 radio station.

3. Sports & Recreation

The university has appointed a sports board to manage its outdoor games including basketball, volleyball, and handball. There is a complete setup in the indoor games section for Table Tennis & Chess players. It consists of a 903 sq. ft. air-conditioned health club and gymnasium apart from an open-air swimming pool.
