Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering & Technology (GRIET) is an engineering college that enjoys good reputation due to production of excellent quality of engineers and high academics reputation. GRIET was founded long ago in 1997, and this college is approved by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Hyderabad. In addition to that, this college is also approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).Some of the courses offered here are CSE, AI/ML, DS, ECE, EEE, ME, CE, and IT.Along with imparting education through an efficient administrative process as well as quality faculty and teaching, another hallmark of GRIET is the academic excellence achieved through practical implementation of theoretical concepts while instilling a sense of discipline among the students. The facilities and infrastructure at GRIET provide the resources for research and innovation with modern laboratory-equipment, smart classrooms and a digital library; as well as creating an environment conducive for developing important verbal and non-verbal communication skills and computer programming for employability; and providing industry-relevant emerging technology education.The functions of the Training and Placement Cell include, but are not limited to, assisting students throughout their college experience with job placement, training and internship opportunities, and facilitating the transition from college to the working world.

Admission Process -

Admissions to GRIET are primarily based on entrance exams (conducted by the state government). Interested applicants must apply for admission through centralized counselling after successfully completing an Engineering Entrance Examination. Students are assigned specific programs based on rank and availability of programs (usually offered in merit-based, executive program, and lateral entry). After obtaining a specific level of placement, a percentage of the enrolled seats will be open to selected students (executive program) and a percentage of the seats will be open for lateral-entry students.

Eligibility Criteria -

The criteria for becoming a part of UG Engineering programs would be having successfully completed the education of 10+2 or higher, with core subjects consisting of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. The CGPA of the students must be 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher to get an admission in this program. They should also clear their respective state level Engineering Entrance Test. There are different qualifying requirements for reserved categories of students. Management quota admission criteria, and admission criteria for lateral-entry students are slightly different than those for regular students.
