Admission Process

The entrance procedure to Christian Medical College at Vellore consists of Institute-specific entrance exams, National-level entrance exams, and unstructured selection procedures. Eligible applicants will be invited to a selection process consisting of counselling, interview (where applicable), and verification of credentials. The entrance process is based on existing regulatory standards, evaluation and appointment on a merit basis, the regulation of reservations, and transparent communication of the process to provide equal treatment and access to the educational programs offered.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the required academic qualifications, general subject background knowledge, specific minimum standards of performance, and the minimum age requirement as stated by both the college and governing bodies. All other requirements such as medical fitness, nationality, and any additional requirements for each program must also be met by the applicant. In addition to meeting these requirements, all candidates will be expected to demonstrate their ability to conduct themselves in an ethical manner, communicate effectively.

The location of Christian Medical College is a peaceful place to live as a medical student. Located at College Hill on the base of the hill, the campus has abundant greenery which contributes to the academic life and personal development of each student. The college has designed hostels that provide an environment that is safe and allows for both comfort and support and has common areas and spiritual areas to enhance community living throughout the student's life.

2. Academic Facilities

The Institute has established a wide variety of facilities within its academic infrastructure, including classrooms, laboratories, lecture halls, and libraries, designed to support teaching and research on various disciplines in medicine. The Institute's facilities are intended to foster rigorous academic study, practical clinical experience, and collaborative research.
