✅ Do’s Before & On Exam Day

Must Follow
  • 🎫 Print your Admit Card properly. Use A4 size paper and a laser printer. Paste the same photograph that you uploaded while registering, at the indicated place.
  • 🪪 Carry a valid original Photo ID. PAN, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar (with photo), E-Aadhaar, Ration Card or an Identification Affidavit — carry at least one, undamaged.
  • 📍 Visit your Test Centre a day before. Check the route, traffic and entry gate so that you don’t panic on the exam morning.
  • Reach well before reporting time. Plan extra buffer for traffic and parking. Remember, no entry after Gate Closing Time.
  • 🧾 Write clearly on the writing pad. Use only the pad and pen provided at the centre. Write your Name and Application Number on it and return it after the test.
  • 🧠 Prepare your mind & body. Sleep well the previous night, eat light and comfortable food, and carry your required spectacles or medicines (if any).
  • 📦 Keep essentials in one small transparent folder. Admit Card, Photo ID, and any required medical documents — pack them the night before.
  • 😌 Stay calm in the exam. Start with your strong area, keep an eye on the timer, and move on if a question is taking too long.

❌ Don’ts You Must Avoid

Strictly Prohibited
  • 📵 Do not bring electronic gadgets. Mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, earphones, USB devices and similar items are not allowed inside the test centre.
  • 💍 Do not wear jewellery or metal items. Avoid chains, bangles, nose rings, bracelets, belts with big buckles, etc.
  • 👟 Do not wear thick-soled shoes or clothes with large buttons. Prefer simple, comfortable footwear and clothing.
  • 👜 Do not carry bags expecting a locker. Many centres may not have cloakroom facilities. The test authority will not be responsible for loss or damage of personal belongings.
  • 🚪 Do not attempt the test in more than one shift. Doing so is a serious violation and will lead to disqualification from CAT 2025.
  • 🚶 Don’t depend on bio-breaks. They are allowed only for emergencies/medical reasons. You will be re-frisked and lost time will not be compensated.
  • 📄 Do not carry paper or stationery of your own. Rough sheets and pen will be provided. Extra sheets, notebooks or loose papers are prohibited.
  • 😰 Do not panic if one section feels tough. It is tough for everyone. Stay composed and maximise your attempt accuracy.

📌 On 30 November – Your Exam Day Checklist

From Home to Exam Hall
Night Before the Exam
Pack your Admit Card (all pages), Photo ID, any necessary medical papers and basic essentials. Set multiple alarms and arrange your travel (cab/public transport/ride with a family member).
Start Early from Home
Leave with enough buffer so that even with traffic you still reach before reporting time. Avoid new experiments with food — eat something light and familiar.
At the Test Centre Gate
Keep your Admit Card and Photo ID in your hand. Follow the instructions of staff, stand in the correct queue for your slot and cooperate during frisking.
Inside the Exam Lab
Locate your system, follow on-screen instructions carefully and listen to the invigilator. Use the rough pad provided, and write your name and application number on it. Do not attempt to communicate with other candidates.
During the Test
Manage time section-wise. If you feel stuck in a question, move ahead and come back later if time permits. Maintain accuracy — random guessing can hurt your percentile.
At the End of the Test
Wait for instructions to log out. Hand over the writing pad and pen to the invigilator before you leave. Exit the centre calmly. Your job is done — relax!

🔥 Smart Tips for the D-Day

Performance Boosters
🧩

Build your own attempt strategy: order of sections, target attempts, and when to skip a question. Stick to it on exam day.

🧘‍♀️

Use light breathing exercises or short walks to control anxiety. A stable mind beats last-minute cramming.

💧

Stay hydrated but avoid excess water just before entering the lab to minimise the need for bio-breaks.

👀

Read each question carefully. Many errors are due to misreading constraints, not because of lack of knowledge.

💪

Remember: CAT tests smartness under pressure, not perfection. A balanced paper with good accuracy can give a great percentile.
