Admission Process

To get a seat in NLSIU one must take and do well in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). To be eligible for admission you must register for the CLAT and also take and pass the CLAT. After taking the CLAT, candidates who are selected must also score above the established cut-off score and must follow specific guidelines established by NLSIU. As such, NLSIU's method of admitting students is truly based exclusively on merit, fairness, and competitiveness.

Eligibility Criteria

NLSIU requires all applicants to hold a minimum qualification of 10+2 or equivalent from an accredited institution with at least 45% aggregate marks (40% in the case of applicants from the Reserved Categories) and to be either Indian Nationals or Foreign Nationals as defined by the CLAT. NLSIU also has developed a set of core eligibility standards based on "Academic Excellence, Integrity and Potential for Legal Aptitude."

Infrastructure

1. Campus & Accommodation

The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) has a 23-acre campus with a combination of academic blocks and faculties' homes, as well as a library, dining facilities and wellness centres. A good number of residential accommodation options are available, including separate hostels for the students who identify themselves as male or female. The hostels are fully furnished, provide round-the-clock power, internet connections, health services, and laundry facilities. NLSIU also maintains some accommodation services off the main NLSIU campus for other students who require them.

2. Academic Facilities

The University have access to state-of-the-art technology such as smart boards and wired internet connection (Wi-Fi). The library has an extensive legal collection with additional support and resources in various formats, including electronic/g цифровой. Such facilities as moot courtrooms, seminar rooms and research centres support these types of activities to help give students an enriching experience through practical learning. There are also numerous computers available for student use in the computer labs, and space for seminars and presentations within the auditoriums available for use by both academic and cultural groups.

3. Sports & Recreatio

Holistic Development, supported by a wide range of Sports and Recreation facilities, are Key Features of NLSIU. The Campus provides an excellent Infrastructure, including a New Turf Football Pitch, Basketball Courts, Tennis Courts, Volleyball Courts, Badminton Courts, Indoor Table Tennis, and Yoga and Aerobic Centre, along with a Well-Equipped Fitness Gym. The University Sports Committee schedules periodic intra-University Sports Tournaments and encourages Student Participation in Competitive Sports for improved Health, Teamwork and Better Cohesion Between Students.
