Admission Process
The KJSIM admissions process is highly structured and is primarily based on merit. Candidates are assessed on a variety of factors including their performance on a national management entrance examination, their previous academic records, their performance in group discussions and personal interviews. This assessment process enables the KJSIM to assess candidates for all aspects of their abilities including aptitude, communication skills, leadership potential, and their ability to contribute to the Institute's culture of learning and adhering to its values.
Eligibility Criteria
Incoming applicants must possess a recognized bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a minimum GPA on their transcript. In addition to academic requirements, candidates who are short-listed for an interview must take and pass an approved management entrance exam. Candidates who meet these criteria will need to exhibit strong communication, analytical and problem-solving capabilities to cope with the rigorous nature of the institute’s management programs.
Placements
The placement cell is focused on establishing partnerships with organizations through corporate engagement, work placement programs and providing career advice to its students. Students from KJSIM have been placed with some of the largest employers from various industries such as IT, Consulting, Finance, FMCG and Manufacturing. Infrastructure
KJSIM has two independent hostels, the Sandipani Hostel for Males and the Maitreyi Hostel for Female Students, providing residence halls equipped with full accommodation, such as: furnished rooms to accommodate all dormitory-style amenities; laundry service; student meal (mess) services; common recreation areas; fitness (gym) room; Wi-Fi Internet access 24/7. Medical services, including physicians on campus, are also available, as well as periodic medical examinations. This living arrangement provides an atmosphere of safety.
The Institute provides air-conditioned class rooms, seminar halls, conference rooms, and discussion areas throughout the facility, and all areas are outfitted with Wi-Fi access. The Library (7000 square feet), including Computerized Library Services, has thousands of physical books and journals available, and computerized e-resources available for reference purposes through an agreement with global databases; also available are dedicated workspace for personal study, dedicated computer labs, and a dedicated research software (hand-on learning) laboratory.
KJSIM has many different sports and recreational facilities for students and faculty to use. Outside, there are sports fields and courts for soccer, cricket, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and a track for running. There are also areas indoors for students to play badminton, squash, and table tennis as well as a dedicated space for live chess games. The campus also contains a fitness center and provides opportunities for students to participate in various types of fitness and sporting events.
