Admission Process
IIT Bombay's process of admission into engineering Programs is competitive, based on merit alone. To qualify to take the second stage of the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) (known as JEE Advanced), all candidates must first pass JEE Main. Candidates will be assigned seats in accordance with their rankings on JEE Advanced through centralized JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counseling; applicants select their desired programs/institutions based upon rank order/category/available seats through transparent/fair methods.
Eligibility Criteria
You will need to have passed your 12th class (or equivalent) study and incorporated of Physics, Chemistry and Math as subjects in order to apply for admissions at all IITs. You will also have to be JEE Main and JEE Advanced qualified and meet minimum requirement in terms of mark percentage and ranking you have received, as well as restrictions based on your age and category, as specified in the Indian Institute of Technology boards and JoSAA.

Infrastructure
The IIT Bombay faculty and students live in hostels with independent mess and recreational facilities in a green and friendly environment. It is an excellent place for students and faculty to live together, since there are banks, a hospital and schools, plus the whole campus of IIT Bombay is well developed with its academic blocks, hostels as well as providing a self contained, peaceful community.
