Admission Process
Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani offers an entrance exam called BITSAT which determines the process for applying to the university. To apply, prospective students must register online to complete an application form and then complete the test. Admissions decisions will be made exclusively based on performance on the test; therefore, only successfully passed candidates on this exam will proceed to the counselling stage (i.e., process of filling out an application; determining major and campus).
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to BITS-Pilani. An applicant must meet the following criteria. He/she must have passed the 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from an accredited Indian School Board (i.e., CBSE or ICSE).
An applicant must have achieved exemplary marks on the BITSAT and have a qualifying mark on the BITSAT entrance test. If you meet the above criteria, you may receive an admission offer for different programs leading to a bachelor’s degree at BITS-Pilani.

Placement System The Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS-Pilani) has an efficient placement system that places students with different companies in a variety of areas including technology, consulting, finance, research and growing areas of business. The BITS-Pilani Placement Division is responsible for all recruiting, industry contacts and career development activities in order to assist students with obtaining jobs through the placement system. There are many opportunities to attend industry workshops, and to be included in an internship program, which will help to provide students with the skills necessary for working in a professional environment. The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, is a fully residential campus that supports both student life and academic life. Men's and women's hostels are offered on campus as well as furnished bedrooms and basic facilities such as Internet access.
